The future of "vaccine" passports

I must admit I’ve given up listening to news about the passports. One minute we all need them, one minute we don’t. The latest news I heard said they’re not happening now.

All this to-ing and fro-ing is completely counterproductive.

I did not want a Android phone until I got one. If I didn't have one I would not be reading this now. I have the certificate on the NHS app... If I did not then I wouldn't be where I am reading the forum. It's not a conspiracy.... The form containing the information on ethnicity is a common equality and Diversity form, ensuring fair treatment for all. You'll probably be asked to complete this form in many common situations such as applying for a job.

Hospitals are still requiring a test for fully vaccinated patients, because the vaccines don't stop anyone catching the virus or passing it on, so not sure how reliable having a vaccine passport would be. With this in mind, why then would vaccinated people also be allowed to travel, go to venues, pubs or anywhere if they still need a test to prove they are not carrying the virus?

Seems testing for everyone is here to stay and so are masks by the looks of it.
Vaccines have a huge impact on transmission and not only provide exceptional protection from catching covid but have also been shown to reduce the impact on those who do get it.
You only need to look at hospitalisation and death rates for those in the vaccinated groups to see this.

Where are you getting your information from?

By the way, it looks like vaccine passports for domestic use are quite rightly going to be dropped.

The hospital. They are testing all patients for sarscov2 regardless of patients being fully vaccinated.
Presumably that's because vaccines are not 100% effective as we all know. 90-odd percent is still not quite 100. Nobody has claimed any different of course.
