I bought this book when I was first diagnosed as I thought it would be handy. But most of the recipes in it include lots of carbs. In fact it doesn't seem any difference to a regular cookbook. I know all diabetics are different, but most of these recipes would send my bs soaring.

Hmm...I'd forgotten about this book - I bought it as well shortly after diagnosis, but don't think I've ever made anything from it! 😱

Mark, try the two recipe books by Robin Ellis (the actor), Healthy Eating For Life, and Delicious Dishes For Diabetics. He is type 2 himself, and we have found these two books really good - he uses a lot of herbs & spices, and white wine etc., and the recipes are interesting. I got mine from Amazon, and have recommended them before, but don't know if anyone's tried them.

They don't spike my numbers, and once you've got the hang of them (I'm not a good cook) you can experiment with things.

Thanks for that Pine Martin. I'll check them out.🙂
