An article from 2007 in the New York Times about a "constant" cough that broke out in people working in a hospital, resulting in 1000 staff being furloughed and beds being closed.

It discusses the accuracy of PCR tests.

“It was going on for months,” Dr. Kirkland said. But in the end, the conclusion was clear: There was no pertussis epidemic.

And anyone that expects an effective vaccine against Covid 19 any time soon, would be wise to consider again ....
