Has anyone recieved one of these yet,just had a reminder from NHS telling me I have an appointment next Wednesday 14th at 3.30 when in fact my appointment is on Monday at 9.45 :confused: All rather confusing and when I rang just got the answer machine,so my plan is just ignore the text and stick to the original 12th as i have written conforimation from the receptionist who wrote my appointment on some paper.
 
I get texts reminding me of appointments, but they are useless on my ancient mobile because they just say <data> ! I think the format they send them in is incompatible with my old technology. I did tell them, and showed them but they still do it!

I'd try ringing again tomorrow, you don't want a wasted journey if the appt has been moved 🙂
 
Oh, that's odd. I always get those, they are quite helpful. Are you sure the Wed appointment isn't for something else that you didn't get the letter for. Might be worth asking on Monday as it would be on your records if you have another hospital appointment I think.

Thanks Al i did get through but to my surgery and apparently its nothing to do with them they have me down for Monday but nothing on Wednesday she said she dont even recognise the number i gave her, oh well plot thickens,she said the receptionist she will ring the number and see if she can get anywhere for me.Watch this space

Well the receptionist just rang me back and said its an appt with a Prefessor Samson now i am worried Ive not even had dealings with said person,oh well I will ring tomorrow see what the heck its all about.
 
Um, seems strange, don't worry about it too much, they might have got you confused with someone else or it could be a different consultant that you haven't seen before and they decided that since you are under their department they should probably see you at some point!
 
Well all been cleared up now

its from NorwichNorfolk hopspital so its got to be a mistake, im still guna ring them tho last thing i want is my notes to turn up there.

LOL thats a weid one. MR SAMSON IS MY CONSULTANT AT NORFOLK /nORWICH hes a sweetie such a kind understanding man (nice bodywork as well, but we will not go there 😛). i should image that you have received someone else s txt reminder, as they send out txt reminders for appointments)

Sounds like they have misrecorded someone's mobile number and have yours listed.

Hopefully it will get sorted out.

I haven't had a text message but have had an automated call reminder complete with electronic voice.

With a name like Samson I'd expect him to be fit! 🙂

This has happened to me Steff. I got a text message remimding me of a dentists appointment I didn't have at a Dentists I'm not a patient at. I just text back that they'd got the wrong number so that they were aware it had gone astray.

So, this Samson guy? Norwich you say........ XXXXX
