I have just starting my glucose levels before and after meals. How long after I have eaten should I test

Welcome to the forum. Normally test around two hours after meals, and worth keeping a food diary this way you can build a picture up of what food does what to you.

As some foods can cause a rapid spike in levels you could do tests around an hour after a meal to pick these foods up, though the two hour test will pick up most of the foods.

Hi @Rocks , welcome to the forum.
It’s good to hear you are testing, it will really help you in finding out which foods you tolerate well and which ones you need to cut down or substitute.

In answer to your question , two hours after starting to eat is best, though later on you may wish to do more in depth testing.
I trust you will find this helpful, test-review-adjust by Alan S.

Feel free to ask questions, we’ll be happy to help .

How long have you been diagnosed.
