Strawberry and pea season is here. We grow our own and it is so tempting but I know it can only be three or four of each. Fruit is what I really miss since D struck :( Ah well there are lots of other things like avocados. 🙂

Avocados, ewww! 😱 My Dad once told us he'd got us something special for our tea when we were teenagers. We were immediately put on our guard because the previous 'treat' had turned out to be tripe and vinegar 😱 When it was revealed and I asked what it was, he said 'avocado pears' - I thought 'Ooh! Pears! I like those!'

They taste NOTHING LIKE PEARS!!!! 😱 😉

(and olives taste nothing like grapes!)

Only three or four peas?

I can't do too many strawberries, rarely have more than two at a time, but pulses including peas never seem to raise my blood sugar detectably.
Unfortunately, the squirrels dug my peas up this year.

love peas straight from the pod...growing a few...good job we not growing more really...after looking on here i have stopped buying grapes..no way would i be able to stick to four or five..hope asparagus is ok as i have been eating quite a bit of it.............:O

I adore peas but they do make my blood sugar go a bit high, in general veg don't really bother me not even the dreaded spud, but peas they do it every time. Shame because I love pea pods as a snack. Pea shoots don't do that to me though so I have them in my salad and they taste just like peas!

My strawberries just have flowers on. June to mo  It tastes better from garden 😎
