The root canals extraction and crown are on the NHS (?204) but he is going to charge an extra ?90 as he will use the implements that are usualy used for private treatments because the implements they use for private work are better and allow more pulp or something to be removed and so the tooth is less likely to get re-infected. He is doing this instead of charging me private which would be ?200 per tooth.
As for the other fillings he has down as ?120 each i think he has written these as white fillings, which is done privately, but i can change it if i want to the metal fillings, which arent as good and on the nhs will be in the band 2 at ?47
does that make sense?
As I understand it if you had the fillings on the NHS they would be included as part or the ?204 payment - as it should all be one package of treatment.
