Relationship to Diabetes

I've been reading through information regarding pre-diabetes and it seems in terms of symptoms, most people do not report any before diagnosis. How common are symptoms if they do occur?
I would like to know whether you had or at least noticed any symptoms prior to diagnosis? Or were you the majority diagnosed through routine blood testing?

Though I didn't know it at the time, I had the classic symptoms.... Lethargy, night sweats, peeing a lot & unbelievable thirst.... I assumed that the thirst was due to low blood sugar as my go-to was apple juice. I only got tested as I went in for a check-up regarding blood pressure & the Dr. insisted on some blood work.

Is there a relation between blood pressure and high blood sugar? How common is it with pre diabetes patients to have high blood pressure?

Also Martín were your symptoms relating to pre-diabetes?

There can be a correlation, D affects so many parts of the body, we just had a discussion relating to hearing & D.

I skipped the pre-D stage & was diagnosed as a full blown T2, though in hindsight I had not been feeling 100% for a couple of years... Particularly in the last 12 months pre DX. The symptoms I was having in those days were a watered down version of what I described before; the night sweats & night time peeing were the most notable symptoms. Understanding what I do know now this is not surprising as my evening meals (though relatively healthy according to current nutritional guidelines) were complete carb fests.
