What does everyone have as a sweet treat to curb their craving for sweets/cakes etc. I've been having a sugar free jelly but can see me getting tired of these quickly. Any suggestions for low carb/sugar sweet things would be appreciated

Im a bit obsessed with ice lollies for that at the moment

Oooh that's a great idea I love an icelolly
Just read the labels to choose the less carb/sugary ones, my favourite are mini twister at 9g carb, or sour rocket lollies at 10g carb.

I always have packs of ALDI or KIND nut bars in the larder. Both satisfy my sweet tooth, especially the ALDI ones, and they're both under 8g per bar.
Thanks I'm off to Aldi for a look this weekend as sounds like they do a lot of stuff that can help with my new lifestyle. I normally get asda delivered and get same stuff every week

If you don't eat then, you don't crave them has been my experience.
I do make jellies occasionally, but the sugar free jelly powders began to taste over sweetened, and these days I use pure gelatine and blend some fruit to colour and flavour it, then add whole fruit as well, but one can last several days as I forget about it.

I don't want a sweet treat, I want chips. 🙂

I find I go through fazes. A while back it was ice lollies, not had sweet cravings for some time.
Atm I am having savoury cravings but I am afraid that wotsits are just not worth the extra insulin so I am resisting.

And crisps. Which reminds me that popcorn is a current favourite, salted not sweet. This is my current favourite one

Eclairs are a better bet than most as they are more cream than carbs. I was buying Green and Black taster packs. 7.5g carbs per 15g bar and tbe flavours are lovely.

A year or so back, I read about Oppo low carb ice cream. This was loved by many who are following a low carb diet.
The taste is not for everyone - personally, the flavour of the artificial sweeteners dominated too much but I don't like the flavour of coffee either so I am probably just weird. 🙄

Recipes developed by those accustomed to a super sweet normality are a problem once the taste buds adapt to low sugar. I can't use the sugar free jelly now as it is over sweetened.

I have never been a fan of sugar free jelly as I don't like the after taste of the sweetner.

Full fat Greek yoghurt with a few berries added. You can also Google 'Keto desserts', loads of recipes to choose from!

I also find that the Aldi nut bars are very satisfying. I add some full fat Greek yogurt to the 10 cal sugar free jellies and enjoy this. I make cakes using almond flour and erythritol which are very successful. You can get lots of keto cake recipes on line but you can also adapt ordinary recipes. If you do, reduce the amount of flour specified by 10% and the amount of butter by 25% (yes 25%! to compensate for fat in the nut flour). I got this off a paleo website and it does work really well.
