Make some truffles. My recipe is in the recipe section.
Needed to taste them Manda...would never have done that last year...now I realise the occasional diversion won't do me any harm...besides the cakes/tarts & temptation will be leaving the building this morning!.Oh bubbsie I love you xx a girl after my own heart .. The struggle is real ... Haha x
Temptation all wrapped up in sealed containers...ready to be dispatched this morning...knew BG would shoot up...it almost doubled...then a good walk did the trick...soon back to my usual...interesting experiment Jo...although relieved the 'contraband' will be gone later this morning!Gosh that's a shock but great it went down so fast. It all sounds so delicious, I am on my way round!
I'm usually quite disciplined when baking...just decided yesterday I'd have a taste...I think the more you deny yourself...the more difficult it is to resist...does no harm occasionally to have just a little Lorraine...then a little burst of activity to work it off.Glad it went down again. I know I will have trouble when I bake, which I have put off since diagnosis, except for 1 batch of cupcakes for mothers day. I think I will just have to get hubby to try them.
Lorraine...you're doing fine...as long as you are doing the best you can...that's the most you can do...watching what you eat...thinking about how to increase your activity...testing...eating well...coping with illness...no need to be so hard on yourself...we all chase those lower numbers...forgetting since we're all different...it takes some of us longer to achieve the desired results...my control is better...taken me almost nine months to get what I feel (for me) is reasonable control...aiming to get it lower...but doing it at my own pace...agree with Anthony...nothing should be off limits...the more we say 'no...not allowed' the more difficult it is to resist it...nothing wrong with four squares of chocolate...small rise...no doubt it did you good...satisfied that craving...don't rush...take your time...you're doing fine🙂.I tries the 90% chocolate today. I ate 4 pieces which was actually a bit too much, I had it after my dinner of chicken with peppers and I am pleased report that 2 hrs late bg has only risen by 1 which is great as it often rises by more than that when eaten just chicken and veg.
Thanks to everyone who recommended this.
I agreeLorraine...you're doing fine...as long as you are doing the best you can...that's the most you can do...watching what you eat...thinking about how to increase your activity...testing...eating well...coping with illness...no need to be so hard on yourself...we all chase those lower numbers...forgetting since we're all different...it takes some of us longer to achieve the desired results...my control is better...taken me almost nine months to get what I feel (for me) is reasonable control...aiming to get it lower...but doing it at my own pace...agree with Anthony...nothing should be off limits...the more we say 'no...not allowed' the more difficult it is to resist it...nothing wrong with four squares of chocolate...small rise...no doubt it did you good...satisfied that craving...don't rush...take your time...you're doing fine🙂.
