Hi Peeps,

Not sure if this has been posted here already, but I've only just read on t'internet about this wonderful girl's story. She was raising money for Diabetes UK by doing a channel swim and sadly lost her life just 1 mile shy of France.

I'm a big swimmer myself and do the same distance as the channel as part of a charity swim every year, but split between 10 pool trips. I take my hat off to anyone who undertakes the real thing.

Her fund raising page is going strong so if any one has any spare pennies; let's show our appreciation...

Rest in peace Susan and thank you, from all us diabetics xx

So tragic :( Good to see how many members of the public have stepped forward with donations.

it is sad she died and it was helping others. I think more will be raised because she died although it would have been a good ammount anyway

I saw that earlier, it's darned disgraceful.
