Hi everyone!

I hope you are well.

I am a final year pharmacy student conducting research on the impact of diabetes on mood and eating habits.

If you have either type 1 or type 2 diabetes and are over the age of 18, i would greatly appreciate if you could fill out my survey below. Every response will mean a lot to me.

Feel free to ask me any questions either in this thread or you can email me on k1520928@kingston.ac.uk.

Thank you 🙂

EDIT: I have now completed the data collection portion of my research. Thank you to everyone who filled it out.

Hello @shahella
I have just completed the survey.
Will it be possible to get access to the results?

I kept getting shunted back to the beginning after question 17 so could not complete the survey.

Hi, i have gone through the survey and it seems to be working fine on my end, perhaps it would be easier to fill out from a desktop. Thank you for trying! 🙂

Done. I would just add that some people just don’t enjoy food very much. I wish you well with your studies.

I did it but don't know whether it will be of any help as I don't take any meds for D. Not yet anyways. I'm more bothered about my liver, the D has taken a definite back seat in my worries. The surgery can't be that mithered neither as they've never called me in for my missed D review from last November. If they don't care then neither do I really. D makes me childish! I wish I'd never changed doctors. Good luck with your studies.

Done. I agree it was easy
If I followed the dietary advise given me I would need to inject more insulin , plus they still push the low fat advise which I have never agreed with, I do moderate carbs and normal fats

I am sorry to hear that you are feeling discouraged, personally i think it would be a good idea to rearrange your appointment as its always good idea to keep an eye on things. Thank you for completing my survey, i wish you all the best!

Done.
It would have been nice to have a box at the end to add any additional thoughts or comments. For instance, I feel that my diabetes diagnosis has led me to a healthier lifestyle both physically and mentally as a result of now following a Low Carb, High Fat (LCHF) diet and getting more regular exercise.

Thanks for your feedback, thats a good idea! However i am unsure if i am able to edit it as this is the version that both the university and DiabetesUK has approved.

I suppose people can use this thread for comments if they are happy for them to be public? You could then include any thoughts in your commentary to provide a little context.

Yes i think that would be interesting! I think it would be a nice way to open up a conversation about how diabetes has impacted their eating habits and mental health.
