Before lunch My BG was 6.9. I had a salad of lettuce, tomato, cucumber, celery, a few seeds, a handful of grated cheddar and a tbsp. of grated cheddar with a 1 carb flaxseed biscuit........ nothing that has been untowards previously. I had a round of golf, a glass of sparkling water and half an hour later ( 4,hours after lunch) I tested and was surprised to get a reading of 12.1. Any thoughts on what the culprit may have been?

What's the weather like where you are? If it was particularly hot for your golf and your body was under stress, that could cause it.

I can only offer a hypothesis really Browser. In fact you may not have consumed enough for a long game of golf in the sun and your liver started pumping out glucose in error. It happens to me when I haven't eaten and would expect to be low. I feel like it's my liver saying, 'feed me!' But I could be totally wrong of course! 🙄

I noticed last year in the very hot weather I had some higher reading than normal.

Good suggestions folks. It was very sunny and warm and that may have been the problem. I'll take more care in future. Thanks
