Morning all,

So as some of you will have read I recently switched to Tandem T-slim and I'm also now self funding the Dexcom G6 so I can link the two. Anyway, I had some blood tests done recently for something else but they did my HbA1c anyway and it came back today....

46!! or in old money 6.4%
(This is with minimal hypos - 1% according to my 90 day Dexcom results)

I'm thrilled. This is a drop from 51 in July. So grateful for all the new technology that is available now.

That's brill! Proof in the real world as to how proper CGM use can save the NHS money (well, ought to, rather) in future.

I could have had a Tslim, but no CGM.

Really rankles with me that my CCG consistently still refuses to fund them for anyone remotely 'normal'. (Can't comment if they regard you as abnormal, as they never have in my case. Shows how much they know about me! 😉 )

I self fund the Dexcom - after they consistently refused to give me the libre I made the decision to switch for a year to see how I found it.
It's a complete gamechanger for me. My current 14 day average is suggesting that my next HbA1c would be 6.0% - they would make such a difference to so many people.

I don't understand the half of that but pleased for you. Excellent. 🙂

Ritalin?

Ah that’s great news @grainger

Really pleased the Tslim and g6 are working out well for you.

I have to say I have found the tslim and g6 combo suits me really well too. Not sure when I’ll get a chance to get an A1c taken though!

Thanks!

Hope your A1c shows how great it is for you too. I only managed to get mine done as they were trying to rule out other things before telling me I have carpal tunnel (joy!)

I was going to click 'Like' - but I don't like it. So {{{Hugs}}} instead !
