Suggestions, new monitor readings higher, messing up my calculations.

I'm not disputing the accuracy. The trend is the very issue I'm having, it's going from a steady reduction to a sudden increase, across all the metrics.

I have had this with some meters in the past, and also, notably, when they changed home glucose monitors from being whole blood calibrated to plasma calibrated which meant that the glucose targets we were to aiming for were narrowed and reduced.

It is frustrating, and I understand it from a recordkeeping point of view, like when I used to get occasional Libre sensors which falsely read hypo levels for days, throwing my records and reports out of whack.

If you are happy with the Contour blue, would it be possible to split your records and start building up your data set from the point of change so that direction of travel etc is only measured from when you had the new meter?

Update, I got the new strips for the Nexus, so I'm going to test them side to side for a few days, then use the average difference to adjust all the reading since October (I found out it takes just a few clicks to add a figure to all the cells).
Not 100% accurate but it doesn't matter, it's just for me to keep an eye on things.
Happy bunny, once I get used to being back to lots of 7s and some 8.....
(the difference so far is from 0.2 to 1, average of 0.56.
@Docb I will DM once I've collated the information. Thank you for making the suggestion!

No problem @medidia. I am glad you realise that the reproducibility and precision of the test data is not quite as good as implied by the readings you get. Things get much easier when you realise that you can work with a near enough is good enough approach. Look forward to seeing the numbers.

Your spreadsheet has literally no impact whatsoever on your hba1c or risk of complications. There’s nothing to panic about here.

This sounds overkill too… as I said your spreadsheet has no impact whatsoever. You’re only fooling yourself by doing this and by treating any fingerprick numbers as accurate.

I'm going to disagree with you a little bit there. Keeping track of the numbers is a great idea because they can show you how things are going. Having a step change in the data will be a bit off putting and if you can eliminate it, then why not.

Where you are absolutely spot on is that the error in the measurements is such that there is little point in analysing things to death. Fortunately, it seems to me that @medidia has figured that out.

I was about to write a blunt response, but I noticed you are autistic, so I assume you just say what you think in the most direct way.
However I think that it's incorrect to say that I'm fooling myself when my system is clearly working for me, and I know the figures are not 100% correct.
