I can't watch as I'm at work lol but it looks (the website) very good...I'd love to know when it's coming out (and still I have that false hope that people are going to give the right message!! 🙂 )

Thanks for sharing Cherry 🙂

Well from the limited amount I could tell from sound only - for some reason the vid itself didn't play on this lappy but the sound did - it sounded OK but they were on about the obesity connection re T2 and espesh young T2. Which of course nobody can deny. But hopefully they will also talk about genetics because even if we totally obliterated obesity and lack of exercise etc we would still have diabetics, young and old, T1 and T2.

So we'll have to wait and see!

I think the one thing that does need amending are the two 'stills' (which if you couldn't see the video you would have missed!):

Type 1...no cure
Type 2...the Known Solution...Lifestyle

Yes, I really do accept that obesity is a major risk factor for Type 2 diabetes but it's not the ONLY one! It's quite possible that this could become a very good and influential documentary film, but to state something so categorically will lead the world and his non-diabetic wife to believe that you only got it because you overate and didn't move around enough, and if you'd just get off your backside and change your ways you'd be immune!

I've emailed Jenny Mackenzie films to point this out - no point in spoiling t'ship for an ha'porth of tar! 🙂

I am glad you did that Alan. I have practically given up on trying to explain that it is not all about lifestyle choices with regard to Type2. Genetics, other health conditions, several medications etc....also play a part. I think as a skinny, underweight Type2 I have to accept that my pancreas is knackered and it is nothing to do with lifestyle. Glad to say that my GP agrees with me.
If the professionals cannot get it right then what hope is there?
