I'm currently doing a lap round my living room like a footballer who's just scored a goal at the last minute.

But I've finally been given blood ketone strips!!! & 2 boxes at once!

YESSSSSSS!!!!

It's only taken nearly 2 months of fighting for them - shame its only taken a night of throwing up for me to get them

Have been told I can't have them all the time, only when I'm seriously ill

Great news Laura! 🙂 I hope they realise that you need them to hand when you are ill, and not expecting you to wait until you are ill before you order more when those are used!

Really pleased you finally got the strips Laura! But FGS are you supposed to know in advance when you are going to be ill to put in the px for a ready supply, do they mean they wont issue any unless you are poorly at the time? I would feign a couple of viruses to build up your supply & keep yourself safe 🙂

Oh yes Laura, I'd do what Hanmillmum suggested - nasty things some of these viruses you can pick up at work or on the bus!

I am tempted to get the plague & require blood strips.

I think with my doctors it's a cost saving exercise which they don't seem to get the danger of been told to use urine sticks all the time even though they apparently know about insulin pumps (hmmmm so my bloods are over 13mmol & won't go down & they are getting higher, I have cramps/feel sick etc, you want me to wait 4 hours for ketones to show up in my urine? Hospital admission anyone?) sorry the sarcasm monster came out there 🙄

Super news laura just shows sometimes if you nag them enough you can and did get a result!! ^5 🙂
