success at my dsn appointment

I had my DSN appointment today. I was really feeling down this morning so wrote a list of things to ask. They were, asking about how I can change my ratios, when can I get a cgm and is there someone I can talk to about diabetes and pregnancy?

She recommended that I keep my ratios the same for now because she has given me a cgm to use until Monday and the results of that will help us to see what is going on over night. She also said that I have a good case for getting a pump and she is going to get me an appointment to talk to someone about pregnancy.

Yippee! I feel I have been successful.

The cgm is taking a bit of getting used to, doesn't hurt, just feels weird! When the nurse put it on for me I was really stressed and nearly fainted and then I was sick - I am such a wimp 😱

All done 🙂 Great news Natalie, sounds like you had a really productive appointment! 🙂 Hope the CGM does the business and the results are very informative - and fingers crossed for the pump!

Thanks all, I'm getting used to the cgm now, just feels weird having it stuck on to me! Worth it though 🙂
 
Is it one you can read yourself or do you need to wait and let them download the results ?🙂

I'm taking it back on Monday to let them download the results but I think I can view it somehow. To be honest I don't really want to see the results until it is all over in case I try to change my behaviour, also I'd rather see it all in one go with someone to explain it to me in case I interpret it wrongly!
 
That's a sensible idea. 🙂

I would definitely be doing stuff to try and influence it, which is clearly not what it's there for ! 🙄

Will watch with bated breath for the results. Hopefully it will lead to some simple changes which will make big differences.🙂

Hehe, I know I would try to influence the results too - I don't like to be seen as a bad girl!
 
I'm glad you had a good apointment Natalie and that things are looking positive for you. Good luck with the CGM. I think you're right to let it do it's stuff and wait til Monday for the results. I hope it helps sort out your problems. XXXXX
