One of those nights at 10 pm I was @ 12.0 due to a late tea and just could not get to sleep and feeling restless. With the restlessness getting worse decided to test at 1am and wham a lovely hypo of 3.2.

So within 3 hours I have dropped by nearly 9. Hypo treats eaten and levels coming back up slowly. Wish they had left the sugar content alone in my treats as it's back to the drawing board to work out how many I should have.

Great to add insult to the hypo just gone and fallen down the stairs from top to bottom. Don't know which part of me hurts the most, at least I am in one piece.

One thing it's confirmed is that moving to a bungalow will be the right decision.

Oh my goodness pav ~ are you sure you're alright? Perhaps you should ring 111 or get yourself to A&E if someone can take you just to get yourself checked over. You may well have broken a bone or two or bruised your ribs. *Keep an eye on your breathing pav. Better safe than sorry. Did you feel faint or have brain fog before you fell? You're certainly having a rough time of it lately aren't you, please take care.

I was going down stairs to get a drink of orange juice to speed up the hypo recovery and slipped on the top step.

Apart from the stinging and aches coming out I feel ok. From the stinging it feels like I have gravel rash all down my back, side and arm.

Note to oneself don't attempt to go downstairs, when having a hypo.

MEMO for pav:~ Keep orange juice & water in a jug by your bedside every night together with jelly babies or anything else to raise your bg levels.
You will more than likely feel a little stiff tomorrow pav. When I collapsed before Christmas I bruised my ribs and hurt my shoulder and @Mark Parrott suggested I soak in a bath of Epsom Salts, about 250g. It certainly helped ease the pain ~ stiffness and other aches and it was relaxing too. So I'm recommending the salts to you. I bought a couple of large packets. (I'll send a pm to you where you can buy it)Worth buying for sure. Hope you manage to get some sleep but if you begin to feel poorly please ring for medical advice assistance.

Oh no Pav very gentle (((hug))). I too think it might be a good idea to get yourself checked out just in case.
I agree hypo’s and stairs are a dangerous combination.
You take care of yourself ok, perhaps try to have a restful day.

Pav I have burnt my hand making a brew for my hypo biscuits. I know don't have tea when having a hypo unless someone else can make it for me. Takes the silver lining away!

Hope you are okay.

Get something on the gravel graze wound to clean it up. My husband had similar thing and got an infection from the wound which made him sick.

Take care!

Aye, you can’t see your back so you don’t know how bad it is. Mrs B did the same thing last November, just a bit of a sore shoulder. Fractured neck of humerus, that was. I think maybe nurse at the surgery ought to take a look because as Phoebe says, infection is always a possibility.

Oh pav. Take care, and maybe you should have it all looked at.

Take care and get those hypo treatments everywhere, especially by the bed.
Hope the bruises are fading.

Thanks all, finally got to sleep, and woke to a 4.8 at least I got something right.

The carpet burns are to say the least a bit sore. I think on reflection what made this hypo worse was the Radid drop in levels and it's my worst one for ages.

I have hypo treats everywhere, except orange juice which is in the fridge down stairs. It's tempting to did out the mini fridge as it holds around 6 cans and put the juice in that to keep it cool, and luckily restocked the mini cartons of juice last week.

I keep juice cartons that don’t need to be in the fridge in the bedroom. It saves getting out of the warm for a night hypo. Not such a nice juice, but a much nicer place to be whilst having a night hypo.

Wonder what tonight will bring, hope it's not another hypo like this mornings one, no carpets were injured in the event and the radiator I hit when it stopped me survived. Another one of those strange things is I have had hypos as low as 2.6 before now and been ok ish, and easily sorted myself out without doing any damage.

Taking to bed hypo treats plus orange juice, just in case of another hypo. :(

Managed to get some antiseptic cream on the carpet burns, needed to be a right contortionist to almost cover all the burns, pain is increasing tonight so maybe if not eased will be a trip to the docs.

I think a trip to the docs tomorrow would be very wise.whethe or not the pain has eased, hopefully it will be much better tomorrow, but I believe it’s better to be safe than sorry.
I hope you have a good sleep without any need of hypo treatments. Which reminds me I must get some more small cans of coke.
