Struggling with hypers

Hi,

The past couple of days I have struggled to get my sugar down and it does not seem to be reacting to insulin the same. I did have a cold last week so am not sure if it is related to that or I'm just having some bad days. Does anyone have any suggestions?

Any stress and illness is likely to raise blood sugars so it could be the effect of your cold.
It may be worthwhile discounting the insulin in case it has got less potent; it is usually recommended to change your insulin cartridge(s) and check your pen is working correctly.

Sorry to hear about your raised BG @sam98

I agree that checking your insulin delivery and integrity is a really good step if things are really running out of control - eg change to a new pen/cartridge, make sure you are doing air shots, check the pen itself (if reusable) for any signs if damage, check injection sites.
