I am so stressed with my diabetes poor control I'm suffering from anxiety and it's not helping me at all ... I'm suffering from neuropathy, also thrush that won't go away....I am very active due to work and don't get the time to eat properly, I drink alcohol most nights ( not loads but a couple of glasses ) and now I have decided to try and take control I'm stressed, not sleeping and suffering from horrible anxiety, I feel so alone and nobody understands me.

Hello @Jules77.
I am a type 2, but fortunately can do without medication if I eat a low carb diet. I do realise I am rather lucky as in addition to getting normal blood glucose levels I have seen my thyroid recover after years of needing 200micrigrams of Thyroxine I now only require 125, and fairly recently I managed to stop biting my nails when stressed, which is quite amazing.
It reads as though you have not been getting control, despite the mixed insulin you use. That really should be something your specialist health care provider ought to be helping with. You might need to have a different regime of separate types of insulin, so you can adjust for different meals. You might need to do something about not having time to eat properly at work. Employers have a duty to ensure adequate breaks for all their staff, but where it could be affecting the health of an employee they could be breaking the law.
I am sure there is help available and more experienced forum members will be able to point you in the right direction to find it.

I sympathise, Jules. there have been times when I have felt my health has been out of control And living with a long term health condition isn’t easy at times. If I was in your position I would make an appointment to see my GP, particularly for the physical problems you are describing. You can also speak to them about nhs Talking Therapies for support for your anxiety. Either way, it sounds like you need support to get things back on track. I agree about employers and regular breaks. Self management tools like workplace wellness recovery action plans can also be helpful. Can you ask for a welfare meeting with your manager as part of an overall approach?
