Hi Guys was at Clinic today and after a long hard month or more of constant highs my Team seem to think that stress hormones are casusing the problem not anything to do with what im eating. I am not worried about anything in particular but i am a wrrier about lots of everyday things Has anyone else came across this and how on earth do i deal with it How do i stop worrying 🙂 as if had enough of all these Highsand feeling c**p every day because of highs
On a good note lost 5 l/b in weight since i was there 4 weeks ago yipeeee

Have you considered CBT - Cognitive Behavioural Therapy ? More money pumped into this by government especially in primary care, may be worth asking GP for referral, & you have the back up from your D team for a referral if they are suggesting your high BG's are down to stress/worry/anxiety.

🙂

Hi yes did this back in Feb/March on referal from Diabetes centre

Did CBT help in any way on your levels of worrying ? Obviously not enoough eh?

Despite the cause of your high's BG's it is rather dismissive (IMO) of your team to put it down to "x" and leave you to deal with it. There must be a means via insulin therapy to get those levels down regardless of "stress hormones" in your case.

Hi did help a little bit but mayb need to try n chill everyday and just take 20 min out for myself to sit and listen to my cd that i got.
I have to put my Levimir up by 2 units ths evn to see if it will help with my Highs on Waking in morning. I honestly dont know how i can switch off from things

It's a good plan and I hope you see some better levels soon. It is hard to switch off from things but practising i.e the chill out time & CD will go a long way in helping having some "me" time become more second nature.
