12 weeks on from gp referring me to local hospital for an insulin pump, I have still not received an appointment. As I feel a pump is the way to go for me, am getting very fed up with delay in even getting the process started! ::(

Has or when the doctor sent the referral.

Have you been back to your GP to find out what the delay is? I would imagine he would get copies of anything sent to you and it's possible your appointment letter has gone astray?

Funnily enough, both my husband and I have just had to be referred for different probs. Both GPs independently told us the same thing 'If you haven't heard anything after 3 weeks it means something has gone wrong - so you must ring us up and chase it !'

We both heard from the hosp 'Choose and Book' service after about a week.
