On another forum I've been on, admin were able to make a thread always appear at the the top of the threads list. (These were called stickies.) Instead of going down the list onto page two, or disappearing altogether.
Is that possible here. I'm thinking @Hannah DUK's new posts.

We already do use stickies, Ralph. If, however, you use the 'New Posts' option it won't show you threads you've already visited. Hannah's posts are in a new separate section of their own 🙂

I assume that Welcome forum will be locked to new posts. Not sure if it is or isn't right now.

I do go for New Posts Northerner, and one of Hannah's post was already on page 2.
If it's not on that list I never see it.

Thanks @Ralph-YK
Apologies for the heavy traffic of posts you will be experiencing from me today!

As Northerner mentioned, the posts are stickied within the 'Welcome' forum, so they will remain at the top there, meaning new visitors should be able to find the information easily.
Sticky threads do not stay at the top of the 'New Posts' feed as that feed shows the most recent posts that you have not read.

But, good news - I have found a way to stop the posts appearing in 'New Posts' for the time being, so this will stop the information from bombarding the 'New Post' feed whilst I update it.

In the meantime.....

Oh, I was quiet happy with them there. I was thinking about them disappearing down the list.
