Type 2
Hi all,
I find I really miss something sweet now and again. (More NOW, than again!) I've just bought some sweets, sweetened with Stevia. (Ricola Liquorice sweets.) Does anyone know if this is ok? Diagnosed with Type 2 about 6 months ago. Lost 1.5 stones. Stuck now, but need to lose more!
Thanks,
Teadance.

Yes, as long as you don't eat too many of them. Stevia is a plant extract that is many times sweeter than sugar (something like 300 times) that is said to have negligible effects on blood sugar.

Also used as the sweetener in the new CocaCola drink with the green bottles.

Just read the label on the new Coca Cola Life green bottle - 6.7% sugar (second on the list of ingredients). Whats even worse it doesn't even taste like Coca Cola😱

So don't try it.

Thanks all. Will eat cautiously. Don't drink coke so no problem there.
