Aldi are selling Stevia powder and tablets in dispensers, reading the small print ingriedients labeling on the back it includes quite a lot of sugar. Most of us read the ingredients on packaging for the obvious reasons but in most cases the print is very small. This is a case of mis-selling so buyer beware. I have emailed Aldi with a complaint and am waiting their answer but I'm not holding my breath though.

If that's because they're adding sugar then that seems, er, odd. My guess is this is some technical thing, and that yes, Stevia contains sugar, but it's sugar that's not really digested in the usual way, and won't (for example) increase blood glucose. If that's the case then something's still wrong: I want labels to be useful for me, and something saying it's got lots of sugar but doesn't increase my blood glucose then that's potentially dangerous. (Probably not actually dangerous since presumably I wouldn't be using enough of it to make the slightest difference.)

Sugar which is not readily digested tends to be worse than figs or prunes.😱🙄 The polyols are a well-known example...
