Steroid found to help prevent deaths of sickest coronavirus patients

My dad was in the Parachute Regiment and he had his 13th jump on Friday the 13th. The other guys arranged it so he would be 13th out of the plane 😱 His parachute had a problem as he landed and he got knocked unconscious, although no broken bones. He said that when he woke up he found he was back on a plane and told to jump again so he wouldn't lose his nerve! 😱 I've never been entirely convinced about that last bit, although you never know - it was 1948, a time when H&S was probably not as strict as today, especially in the paras 😱 🙂
 
I detect a touch of topic drift on this thread. My last post used a simile about parachutes. Maybe I should have said it was like pissing on the Great Fire of London, though god knows what sort of tales that might have precipitated😳:D
