Everything is in place to start the Libre2 sensor on the 12th, just got to hope that my starter kit arrives in time.

So a couple of questions..

Is the Libre2 more reliable than the first one, when the Libre first came out I did self fund, but gave up with them as got too many red lines and/or a major difference between the finger prick reading and the sensor reading. (even allowing for lag time)

I saw from my emails that I will need alcohol wipes, is there anything else that might be helpful to have to hand to ensure that the sensor still put (as I remember losing one or two of them before)

My clinic will be able to have a direct link to my information, so hopefully this will mean that I can obtain a lot more help when analysing trends info etc.

Using it alongside an insulin pump, when I eat to I use a swipe of the libre to obtain my BG, or input the finger prick test. (I assume until I get to the stage of seeing how the Sensor readings compare to my finger prick readings that I will be using both methods for a bit)

I find the libre2 more accurate than the libre1, enough that I’m self funding it more often than I did the libre1. I haven’t had any sticking problems, some use various things over it but that seems to be an individual thing.

2 is much more accurate than 1, time lag to bg test seems to be shorter although could be mistaken as just own experience, trust it that much that bolus off results & hardly bg test now.

When I tried the the Libre one, it wasn't for a replacement for finger pricking, but a way of find out trends/reactions so accuracy as long has it produced enough information to build trends.. But never collected enough information to work with.

So ideally as long as it stays on, provides enough readings that build trends and any major changes without redlining on me, or falling off saying that didn't get an issue with the libre 1 staying on
