I came across a suggestion of spiralizing turnips which got me thinking about getting a Spiralizer. I don't want to spend much as it's new to me. I found two suggestions that are cheap:

OXO Good Grips hand-held spiralizer
Lurch Spirali spiralizer

Has anyone any experience with these?

And other than courgette and the suggested turnip, what other veg would be good spiralized?

I have a spitalizer.
I use it most for zoodkes (spiralysed zucchini/courgette).
I have also done carrots and squash.

I have a simple spiraliser, although more often I would use the food processor or grater. For Zoodles, grating the length of the courgette gives long strips. For very fine strips a wider julienne peeler works.

if you do buy a spiraliser, just be very careful how you clean it. They draw blood very easily!

I have a couple.
One is a Salter, the other is a little unbranded generic model.
They both seem to work ok, but the bigger one is easier.
It looks very similar to the Lurch.

I have the OXO Good Grips one and it’s fine, though to be honest I rarely use it for anything other than courgettes.

I have the same basic model (the one in the bottom of the photo) as @trav.
Basic but does the job.

Hello @CatsFive ,

I have a spiralizer, but not the ones listed. I've spiralized, carrots, courgettes, turnips, and cucumbers. Depending on the model, please be careful when spiralizing. I almost took off my thumb!o_O
