Specsavers managed to leave out part of the prescription for my glasses, even though they told me they had checked with my previous opticians to ensure the 'prism' was correct. I kept clipping the curb, I could have killed someone.
I am still waiting for my over 70 licence to appear - I applied for it in March.

Drummer, mine was renewed in 2018 and issued for 3 years so didn't expire till I was 71 this year and renewed online NP - did your licence just so happen to expire when you attained age 70?

It was my 70th birthday which triggered the need to renew - before that I'd had my old green paper licence from back when I took my test to drive a car (before that I'd had a motorbike licence). Doesn't 'arf make you feel old.

Likewise, I'm glad I applied on - line as new photo licence arrived in 2 days, I look like a criminal in the photo taken from the passport photo which looks nothing like me. You had to take your glasses off and push your fringe out of the way and then the light flashes in your eyes so it makes you look spaced out. I'm not sure anyone would recognise me from that.
