Discovered on the shelf amongst the locusts stripped shelving in my local Aldi,Soya bean spaghetti, seems very low in carbs, something like 3grms per 100!
Maybe pasta is back on my menu, haven't tried it yet.

As mentioned in another thread, both the Aldi Soya bean spag and their black bean spag are remarkably low in carbs, so even I eat them!

I have not tried but I believe it is one of those products that are not always stocked.

Anyone know how the buckwheat pasta is?

Tried that soya spag last night, it makes a great substitute, a little claggy, but maybe I didn't cook it right.
Will get some more, it's expensive though £1.79 for 200grms.

HI @Grldtnr - I would be very interested to know how you find them.

I have tried the Konjac 'spaghetti' things -OMG was like chewing elastic bands. errgh. Never again! (and this from a person who will eat ANYTHING!).....The konjac penne wasnt too bad, but i did put very strong flavours with it, choritzo, bacon and pesto. The texture was better than the spag too. Prob because it only took one chew and a quick swallow, where the 'spaghetti' was chew chew chew and carried on swirling and unravelling around the mouth - not a pleasant experience  But i can on handle a tiny amount of normal spag/potatoes or rice and hardly seems worth having on the plate!. So really looking for an 'acceptable' alternative .
