Soup and shake diet

I'll give the lemon juice a go. I do not have those bitters. I do not like sweet things as a rule and the chocolate I think will make me gag as I am not keen on chocolate anything. I wonder if making it hot changes the vitamins. So far vanilla I can get down in two goes. Strawberry was very sweet and repeated all morning. I could not abide the Mango I did not take more than two sips and went without. I tried the Banana and like the strawberry, It's too sweet but like the vanilla, I did manage to swallow it. banana and lemon vanilla and lemon unsure but no harm to try. I think I might add chili or curry powder to get the soups over. However, I am not confident the two left latte and chocolate will go over. The latte might be good if I kid myself it's a coffee but unsure if I like a cold coffee. The chocolate even the thought is kinda of making me squirm, I've never had a hot chocolate since it burnt my tongue when young I can still feel how sore it was.
Morning Nayshiftin
Totally get it. I stuck with the coffee followed by a cup of tea. Good luck

Morning @Nayshiftin moving house can definitely be stressful. We lived in our motorhome for 3 months between sale and purchase. Solicitors and the sellers were doing my head in at the time. That and hot weather in the summer meant that I didn't pick up on my diabetes symptoms and attributed them to stress and heat. I don't function well in hot weather.
Maybe try making your own soup and freezing portions. At least you can pick flavours you enjoy and calculate the carbs.
Not sure what to suggest about the shakes
They don't sound very appealing. Hope your house move goes smoothly.

How did your experiment go @Nayshiftin

Feels like the available packets weren’t really geared for your tastebuds?

Would there be a way of constructing the same calorific intake, with a balance of nutrients, from actual foods?

I’m not sure if there are diets and meal plans online that might help (is that was Fast800 is??)

HI,
I have managed to do up until now the total diet replacement with a mixture of what they supply and topped up with a few bought bits to exchange to make it tolerable. I have lost weight but my sugars still remain over 7 at all times. Occasionally at lunch, it is lowest in the day but still not too low as it was at the beginning. Which I now know was either the opioid medication and not eating enough that I had prescribed then and was a result of other issues. So yes mostly I plod on. It is a years course and the first phase is for twelve weeks and I had 9 days left of that phase.
I will possibly use some of the fast 800 meals when I replace the TDR food with what I call real food.
Thanks for your interest.

Well done for sticking to course and congratulations on your weight loss. It must be frustrating when other medications affect your blood sugars. Fingers crossed the next stage will give you the outcomes you want.

Well done @Nayshiftin and good luck for the remaining 9 days and beyond.
