@EmmaL76 Sometimes you just have to say b*****r it and eat. My blood sugar was 9.4 just before I ate my breakfast (having kindly started out at 11.5 due to a pump site that randomly decided to stop working
🙄 ) but I just bolused and ate straight away. So two ‘crimes’ there.
Except they’re not crimes. None of us have only diabetes in our life - we have family, friends, jobs, hobbies, and so on. Sometimes we have to prioritise other things and not let the focus be solely on what the diabetes wants. Otherwise we hand it total and utter control of our life.
You have insulin, right? You can eat a pretty normal buffet diet with a bit of thought (yes, and I know it’s the thought and planning that’s part of the nuisance, but we can’t let it deprive us of good food and a normal life). Do it and taste not only the delicious food but victory over the silly old diabetes.
