Hello everyone,

As the title says my son has just been diagnosed and I feel like my whole world has turned upside down.

It's nice to be able to talk to people in the same situation. I really am being very positive around my son but once on my own I can't help but cry! I know I'm definitely strong enough to get through this and onto the right track but at the moment shedding a thousand tears when I get a chance is where I'm at!

Anyway I'll stop waffling on 🙂

Hi Leanne, welcome to the forum 🙂 I have responded to your post in the Parents section.

Oops, sorry, I responded somewhere else and asked questions you have already answered!

Hi Leanne,
I was diagnosed with type 1 three weeks ago and have a 20 month old son. The only thoughts going through my mind were about him and if he would get it because I have it. It's terrifying. That being said, children are so resilient and he'll be just fine. He sounds like a brave little man.
