I have type 2 diabetes and have been advised to buy socks specifically for diabetics as ordinary socks leave marks on my legs. Can anyone recommend any extra roomy gentle grip socks that are a bit thicker than the usual ones and are specifically designed for walking shoes/boots.

Finding socks that fit well and are able to stay up, while also not squeezing great rings around your legs can be tricky can’t it?!

I’ve never looked for socks specifically designed for people with diabetes, but I have some good ones.

Sports shops might be a good bet for ones designed for walking boots?

The warmest I’ve found recently were Nordic socks, that my daughter got me as a gift. lovely patterns too!

I also found some great mid-weight ones in a supermarket that weren’t too grippy.

I find the ones I have with the strongest elastic are often the thinner smoother ones. Ones with a more open weave seem better on average.

If you put 'walking socks men loose top ' into Amazon search there are lots that come up and they mention 'diabetic socks' in the description.

A reliable online company called Cosyfeet do a good range of socks geared towards diabetic needs. They’re a bit more expensive but seem very decent quality. I’ve had shoes off them for years.
