It's.been a rubbish week at work. I have been very tired all week. When I go to bed I'm exhausted and am still really tired when I wake up. Yesterday all day my eyes felt really blurry. I managed to forget to set my alarm and slightly slept in this morning. :( I was okay to start with then started to feel really odd around 11am. We then had a bomb drill which meant standing outside for half an hour. When we got back inside I was feeling even worse. My boss and I had made an arrangement that if ever I was feeling off I just had to quietly let him know so as not too feel I am broadcasting my D to all. So, I sent him an email to say I wasn't feeling myself today and that I'd give it till after lunch and if I didn't feel better I'd head home early. He was okay with it. I had lunch and felt a bit better after so just stayed till 5pm. I still feel a bit rubbish and my eyes have been blurry all day. So pleased its the weekend. Long lie tomorrow methinks :D

Sounds to me as though your blood sugars are a bit high and you may have had a drop mid morning. Are you able to test and find out what's going on?

My eyes tend to go blurry when my BGs are too high, that and the tiredness are classic symptoms.

I hope you feel better soon.

Thanks Alison. I checked when I came in this evening and my BG was 7.9.

What you're describing sounds very much like some of your earliest posts back in January, before you started taking control of your diet and BG levels.

If you're doing what you need to diet-wise and still feeling this bad, maybe another visit to the GP would be a good idea.

I hope the weekend does you a world of good. (((HUGS)))

Thanks LeeLee. I will keep an eye on the BG for the next few days.

Darn, there goes that theory! Are you perhaps working on a cold or something? Maybe a nice lazy day under the duvet with a hot drink and a trashy novel is what's needed.

I've felt pretty much the same as you for the past 2 days (posted about having blurry eyes yesterday). My BGs have been slightly higher than normal - normal so nothing to point to anything there. Just haven't felt right. Maybe there's a virus going around?

I totally agree though, so glad it's the weekend! I hope you're feeling better soon.

Hope you both - Cat and Newbs feel better over the weekend. My hairdresser mentioned that there are lots of viruses going round today so perhaps it's that. Hope you can both rest a bit and recharge your energy.

Hehe, I wish Alison. I somehow don't think that'll happen. I will probably get up at 6 am and feed the cat. Then go back to bed for a wee while till hubby leaves for work. It's to be a lovely day tomorrow so I'll get some laundry hung out. Then go food shopping. And when I get home I'm going to make some red onion chutney. No rest for the wicked....as usual. I don't feel like I have a cold coming on. My daughter says she thinks I am a bit low on iron again because of the breathlessness I have had lately. Maybe that's also where a bit of the tiredness is coming from. Would low iron affect BG?

It could do. I'm anaemic myself, but my BGs usually go the other way when the RBC gets low.

I think maybe I will keep a good eye on the BG this weekend. See what's happening with them.

Hi Cat I hope that you feel better over the weekend x

There are. Both my wife and daughter were smittled, almost flu like, but without a fever.
