Just had the results of my 6 monthly diabetic check and although not as low as I had hoped they are still a significant reduction. From an HbA1c of 69 in November to 47 now, and a BMI of 32 in November to 29 now are both showing a good downward trend. So, if I can do it anyone can! From drinking more that 30 units of alcohol a week to less than twelve has been a bit of a struggle, so has cutting right down on bread, pasta, pastry, rice and potato, but the results are worth it. As I've posted before, slowly but surely is the way.
Thanks to all the help and tips from the contributors to this forum.

About 15 pints per week on a typical strength larger/beer. Slightly less if it's a stronger brew.

Good job on the reductions.

Actually it's not a massive amount, two or three pints a day max. Now I only drink red wine, one or two at week-ends, so a good deal less than I used to consume.
PS I feel on heck of a lot better for it too.
 
Fifteen pints a week, "Himself" used to drink that amount every day when I first met him.😱
It's about five now but good news The Oak only opens Wednesday to Sunday these days.
As they say you can take the marn out of Ireland but not Ireland out if the marn!
