I have been using the MiniMed 640g since November 2015...it's been good, up until the past month or so....and Cannula's. I dread the set changes now as they either hurt or just don't go in properly and I am currently 31.7 SIGH!!!
I am getting fed up with it, but I don't think I want to go back to MDI, as my control was even worse on that! I have tried the Sure T sets, and they hurt too, and I am currently on the Mio's.
Not really looking for advice....I don't think, as I don't think there is any advice....just needed to rant. xx

Rant away; you're among friends.

I've settled on the Mio's too. Most of the time they're fine, but just every now and then I go ping, bang on a nerve ending! I'm sure we're all the same, I guess.

That's interesting. I had one box of Mios that didn't work properly. next box is ok. I wonder if there was a duff batch.

Possibly, or I am just doing something wrong lol! x
Have more confidence in yourself girl! 🙂 you keep saying are you doing something wrong, the answer is NO you are trying your best and that's all we ever can do!! :D xxxx

Ring Medtronic and say you've heard others have had problems and wondered if yours were part of a duff batch because you're having probs. Or ring your DSN and ask them and ask if you can see them, so they can check your insertion technique. I can't say are you doing this, or that, because I've not had a Med pump.

Thank you!! That made me smile!! 🙂 xxxx

I will contact Medtronic...haven't got a DSN still waiting for a referral as I have only just moved here! xxx

I had real issues with them (sets failed constantly my body isn't a fan) and so was switched to steel ones. So much better and easier to insert etc as just like a normal needle injection. Might be worth asking about?

Sure T?? Had them...hated them as I kept hesitating....I think that's probably what I am doing with the Mio's....hesitating! x

We do get a bit 'clammy' skinned when scared - sort of the precursor of breaking out in a cold sweat IYSWIM.

If you've ever injected into wet skin - it always always hurts like HELL.

Thus - hesitation is quite probably the absolutely worst thing to do!

I shall have to try my hardest not to be a wimp! Haha

Well you had to do it the first few times you jabbed with either a pen or syringe and you managed that since you're still here! - what's the difference? The Roche inserter does make a noise, but not enough decibels to harm anyone!

Honestly i don't know.....i was fine before pregnancy, and during pregnancy, yet after I've just gone downhill and started to hesitate!
