I'm really frustrated due to meds changing but can't control my sugars apart from my Insulin I have been put on metformin again on top of Insulin but the dosage affects by bowels so I can only take a small amount. I am constantly feeling sleepy the same time of day at work and is affecting my work. I know its fatigue due too blood sugars as they were 29 today and trying to control what you eat isn't easy Nd causes stress and anxiety. Support isn't great but gotta keep trying it's also hard when I go home and trying not to upset the family through losing my head for the simplest reasons.

Hello Yorgi. I have had a quick read through your other posts. It seems you have had high levels for some time now. Which must be making you feel rough as well as tired. I hope you don’t mind but I have a few questions.

What Insulin(s) are you on.
What dietary changes have you made.

If you are under the Gp or the practice nurse at Gp for your diabetes then I think you need to be referred to the diabetes clinic at the hospital as It seems likely you need more specialised help . So please ask to be referred

Their is a slow release Metformin that some people tolerate better.

High or low our glucose levels can and often do affect our moods/ tempers, sorry I know that isn’t any help for you.

Others will be along later with more advise.

To be honest at those levels I would be taking myself to A ad E

Hi yorgi,At those levels of bg levels I would definitely go to a&e for sure. You could possibly be on set of Diabetic Keto Acidios, which left un treated can be very very serios.I am sure someone will agree with me,i know I suffered it a couple of months ago.My bg was middle to leet teens and was admitted to hospital, whre I was put on saline and insulin for 12 hours to flush my system out.and blood taken every 2hours.Not trying to scare you but get to A&E promptly.Cheers Andy.

Hi @Yorgi. How are the blood sugars today?

Sorry to hear you are having such a tough time @Yorgi. Hope you can get some advice from your nurse/surgery to better manage your BGs - levels that high make me very grumpy too and feeling generally grim.

Take care
