Have you been to see a sleep specialist yet Trev? You can get a machine that will help with it. If you're already using one, try experimenting with different masks as they aren't all the same. I would also recommend getting a fitbit that tracks your sleep (I got a fitbit charge 3) and see what you're getting in terms of sleep. If you're feeling low and sleepy, chances are your cpap device isn't doing its thing for you (if you have one).

A couple of hats ago I was referred to a sleep clinic. It was only one session for a group of people and the most powerful thing was looking around the room and nobody actually looking tired. It dawned on me that generally people don’t know I sleep a maximum of three solid hours a night plus broken sleep for a couple. They don’t think I look tired. I don’t fall sleep at of times of the day and I don’t feel tired. However I was getting angry because I felt I needed to sleep more. But my body said otherwise. So someone said why am I getting so angry? I thought about it and honestly didn’t really know why. So with work I manner to stop that anger and to use the time awake in bed to meditate instead.
That way I’ve taken a source of stress and turned out to something positive that is of benefit to my own well being.

I’m not suggesting that this is the “cure “ for you but mindfulness and meditation has really helped my dealing with sleep so it may be something that you could look into.

I have sleep apnoea and have a CPAP machine, and it made a huge difference to my sleep patterns.
When you are constantly waking up due to stopping breathing the body and simple parts of the brain get anxious and lie about needing sleep because of the association with lack of oxygen. I used to dream about drowning, being smothered or trapped in a small space - just the thought gives me the horrors - the test I did first off showed I was going into very low levels of oxygen, but the little machine works wonders.

Ive separated your post and the replies into it’s own thread @trev26 so as not to confuse Gucci’s dietician thread 🙂
