Mines ginger and red underneath and I dye mine all the time.
New profile pic shows the ginger not the red damn.

Well, it depends how conservative your famil, friends and work are. And how much you care.
 
@Rosiecarmel what colour are you naturally? do you lighten your own hair before dying it? x
 
Forgot to ask @Kaylz how short are you going and will you have a fringe at all. Will it be light purple or dark many questions as I like the process of the haircuting and dying.
 
Very short but yeah having a longer fringe! haven't decided on a style for definite yet but will post a pic of what I'm planning when I've decided, I'm not sure yet whether I will lighten my hair first so not sure what it will be like yet x
 
If doing at home use a good quality stripper for hair or you'll end up streaky or horror of horrors green been there done that oops.
If Salon they'll go through everything with you on stripping it back or not.
I go to the salon now as it's a faff doing mine as it's long and I have frozen shoulder so can be painful too boot.
I'm deciding in colour soon for daughters wedding and was thinking siren red all over or a subtle colour of ginger and red. I have had it plum and red before too. I think the only colour I've not had is pink but all the rest over the years. I've even been bald too but that was for charity a long time ago.
 
I'm naturally a mousey blonde. I get mine bleached then add on the colour.

Cheers Stitch, I've never had my hair bleached before so unsure x
 
I bleach my hair first then put a dye over it. I've never had dyed done at a salon, mainly cos I'm cheap! Cos it's quite dark at the moment and my natural hair colour is blonde I just put the purple dye over my roots.

I've got really long dark brown hair, naturally curly too. Waist length. I'm pretty sure I can't just colour my hair blonde. Any suggestions.
