Ay up Tuesday Feb 12th is Pancake Day this year! Dont forget to stock up ready.

It's the ONLY thing I have sugar on Austin.

We are strictly trad - lemon and caster sugar, and hang the expense (I mean in carbs not ??? LOL)

Am salivating now, ready for them!

I'm a lemon juice and sugar guy too, wife likes orange juice and sugar (yuk). Think I'll probably allow myself some real sugar that day, don't think a couple of sweetners would be the same!

Nope. Has to be real. I've tried without sugar, I've tried it with granulated sweetener.

Nothing compares to the real deal.

ww have variety of things on ours and if I am feeling extra hungry add a little fruit too. Before she passed on I Used to to a vegetable onion and cheese filling for my neightbour who used to make a meal out of them. Another friend fills them with mince and onin and tops them with cheese.

3 courses is the way to go.

First course prawn, cream cheese and cocktail sauce filling, main is a chilli/lasagne mix, with traditional sugar & lemon for pudding.

Its only once a year, although can take most of that to work it off!

The only way to have pancakes :-D

What the .... is all that muck ? (I know it's a corn cob) LOL

never been able to cook them -eek the smell makes me gag redrevis what on earth is on that plate

This is what you call savoury pancakes. Pancakes with vegetable stew in between each layer, with a generous helping of ketchup on the top one :D
And for those that says it's disgusting, don't knock it until you've tried it 😉😛
If you've ever had Yorkshire Puddings, well pancakes are just the same mixture but thinner. Savoury pancakes ftw!

cant eat yorkshire pudding either !! and dont even mention rice pudding- got my legs slapped at school when I said i couldnt eat that and then chucked- imagine if that happened these days !!!

No pancakes for me I've never liked them.

Cherry pie filling and squirty cream!!! Had them at some coffee shop somewhere centuries ago, and still love 'em that way. We have lemon and sugar too. Sometimes Nutella (and maybe squirty cream with that too eek)!

I make EXACTLY the same batter for Yorkshires and pancakes. Yum yum! I make scotch pancakes too with the little ones I look after, and we have pancake races with plastic frying pans on the patio.

A few years ago we took our pancakes and plastic pans out to meet with another group of children and had a larger area to run across. These pancakes hit the deck countless times, yet after half an hour of dashing about with them the children asked if they could eat them as they had finished racing! Luckily I had a good supply of spares for just that purpose!

God that piccy puts me off altogether

Easiest thing I can do to keep son happy is buy the made ones and heat um up
