Should I be worried?

Hi Robbie

I'm not the most experienced but your thread concerns me and I would urge you to bypass the GP and head to A+E. I think you should go with your instincts. My little one feels sick when she has ketones present. With those symptoms you should not be made to wait a week before any action, please look after yourself.

Robbie, I agree - go to A&E. I hope that they can get things sorted quickly and you can get the treatment that will make you feel well again 🙂 I can't imagine why your GP is delaying things so unnecessarily :(

Robbie,
please get your self to A&E sooner rather than later. I do not want to scare you but going to anyway.
Just go before you die, Get off of the computer and just go NOW.

Hi Robbie,
You described my symptons to a tee! Are you sure that you've not read my life story? Same age, height and weight (spooky).
I was misdiagnosed by the way, and I suspect that you have been too. Please seek medical help urgently, as you need to be on Insulin sooner rather than later, and I can guarantee that you'll feel 110% better once you are. 🙂
Good luck!

Hi Robbie, please listen to the good advice on here and head to A&E. They will then get you sorted and you will feel so much better. My mind is boggling as to why your GP cancelled the appointment.

Please come back on and let us know how it goes.🙂

Hope you are OK today Robbie. Keep us updated 🙂

OMG what is your gp playing at. Hope you are getting sorted in A&E.

Interested what the outcome was at A+E, after reading your symptons your GP's attitude completely astounds me really hope today's visit is the start of you feeling much better.

Reading this makes me realise that my Doctor's not that bad after all! Third high HbA1C result on Monday, seen specialist nurse and injecting insulin by Wednesday!

Good Luck Robbie, hope you get the treatment you deserve soon!

As soon as your med's are sorted, you will feel so much better. The feelings in your feet etc. sound like peripheral neuropathy, so the sooner you get treatment the better.
What a lot of G.P.'s fail to take on board, is that WE are the customer. There has been so much written about patients being active partners in their own healthcare, that it baffles me why the attitude of some, (not all), doctors is so appalling. If you book an appointment with some of them, they often dismiss your concerns with a remark that leaves you thinking that you have wasted their time, but if you DON'T go, as you don't want to appear to be making mountains out of mole-hills, then you are made to feel useless for leaving it too long.
Kelly.

I hope you've been to A&E today Robbie and that they were able to help. That doctor needs a good talking to, what on earth was he thinking? I hope that, once you get the business all sorted out, you will consider writing to the Practice Manager to complain. It might keep that GP from ever doing such a thing again.

Hi Hope your okay? You don't sound well at all. Hope you have been to a&e you sound like thats where you need to be. Thinking of you x

This is a shocking tale. Hope you are getting the help you need and are soon feeling better.

Has anyone heard from Robbie? Just hoping he is okay.
Hopefully he went to A&E and they are looking after him and getting him sorted.

Robbie if you are reading - drop us a line to let us know how you are doing please?🙂

Hi Robbie

I only just joined this forum and hope you're okay. I agree about going to A&E and hope they they are giving you the help you need. My sugar has nver been that high. 20 is the highest and only on 3 occassions in the last 3 years, which I hope to improve. Please give us an update! Ramona

Northie,

Are you able to email him, because it's a week later and nothing heard.

I do hope he's OK. You can't believe this happens in 2012 .....
