I thought that as diabetics our cholesterol was supposed to be below 4? Surprised if doc is happy with your result on that score - but there again I have been on cholesterol tabs for years and do have heart problems so perhaps things are different for me. I remember when my first results came back and chol was around 4.6 or near that and I said "oh that is OK" but doc shook her head and said "not anymore". Sigh.

Hope all your tests go well and it really was just a one-off but do not ever feel you are wasting A&E's time for things like that. If you went with a cut finger that had a likkle bit of blood - that is wasting time!

Yeah he said my cholesterol needs improvement but was nothing major. So I need to get that and my hb1ac down 🙂 x

Being female , I was told the docs don't like to put you on cholesterol tablets if you are under 40 in case you fall pregnant , mine was in the fives for a few years. Now unfortunately I am over forty and have just found out mine is 7 , so I am on them and I def do not want anymore kids.
