As many of you are aware our amazing friend Sian sadly passed away last year and we have been trying to think of a way to honour her memory and support the cause that Sian had worked so hard to promote and was such an ambassador for.

Here at DWED we will be marking the 27th September in a way that we think Sian would have loved. 'Shoes for Sian' invites you to don your favourite high heels and remember our girl with pride and hope for the future. We are asking you all to help us raise awareness by changing your profile picture on the 27th September to one with some glam - get your heels on and your cameras out - we want to see them!

If you think your work colleagues or friends would also like to get involved and you’re interested in making 'Shoes for Sian' a fundraising event then please let us know and we will help you with the event, email us at vikki@dwed.org.uk

If you would like to make a donation to DWED you can do so on our just giving page. We have set up a dedicated page for the day www.justgiving.com/sians-shoes

All donations, as always, are gratefully received.

Thank you all
Sian's Army X

Just giving this a bump! Please help if you can - every little bit really counts! 🙂

This sounds a brilliant cause and I hope loads of money is raised.

Hi Northerner,

What a lovely idea. I dont think I was on this forum when this happened so not entirely sure of the circumstances - but hopefully this will raise awareness. Bev
