Yes there can be shocking and unjust inequalities in access to therapies, tech, and even basic things like BG meters. Especially with a condition which has a spectrum of experiences (and some HCPs refuse to re-categorise people with atypical T2). One of the downsides of Evidence Based Medicine is that is seems geared towards finding optimum treatment paths for the classic cases, and isn’t so good at catering for those on the edges.

Both conditions are mostly very manageable though.
