just wondering how folk are managing to dispose of their sharps? My pharmacy cannot give out the bigger ones, suitable for pump bits and pieces. Don't really want to attend at GP surgery just for a sharps box at the moment.

GP surgeries are pretty safe at the moment .... more so that pharmacies I think, so I would ring up and order one from there or do it online if you have that facility.

It’s all through the local authority in my area and delivered to my door. (LAs have the legal responsibility for sharps disposal, but some areas use pharmacies / gp surgeries.

We ran a poll about this earlier in the year which you might find interesting

If any sharp needle visible then clip it off and put in the sharps bin. There's nothing else to go in one.
My 1 ltr bin has lasted me 3 years so far 🙂

I order mine from gp online then pick it up from the pharmacy. I've needed to return a full one since lockdown. All i had to do was go to the surgery side door, ring to tell them i was returning a sharps box, they said to put it on the floor by the door and step back. They then come out and pick it up. Quick and easy.
