When you need a reminder for testing 2 hours after your meal do you

1. set it on your meter?
if you set a reminder on your meter do you then carry your meter around with you to make sure you can hear it? On my meter there is no sound adjuster and the alarm is very quiet. Also It's difficult carrying on with housework 😡 and having to listen out for a reminder alarm all the time.

2. set a remider on your phone

3. just remember anyway

Thank you in advance for any replies

I think I just remember anyway...........I don't tend to do it regularly, just when the opportunity is there and I am curious.....

what kind of numbers are you getting.....?

I use my phone if I think I'll need a reminder, but mostly I just test after meals if I'm unsure how things are going at the moment (which seems to be more or less pernanently!) so 1.5 hours after an eve meal I'm usually wondering anyway.

I agree that the bleep on the meter is too quiet. I need to have it in my sight to see that the screen has lit up! This means I often forget - or rather remember too late. Is it still valid to take a reading after say 3 hours? Will this still help my nurse - or should I just forget it completely?
