Relationship to Diabetes
Type 2
Hi,l hope someone can give me a bit of advice I'm 72 yrs of age,I have Diabetes Type 2, Autonomic and Peripheral Neuropathy and Adhesive Arachnoiditis with Cervical Spondylosis.
I honestly wasn't sure if l'm in a high risk with the 19 Virus !!
I am on quite a cocktail of medications including Morphine. My blood sugars ,which l was told to do daily now,is always between 7.5 and 12.0 .My last H BC was 65 in January.
As we've been asked not to contact our Doctors at the moment unless really urgent,l'm at a bit of a loss as to what l should do!
I don't feel too clever these days ,very tired , l just fall asleep every time l sit down ,yet because of the Neuropathy ,l don't sleep through the night .
Really l just need to know should l be isolating for the 12 weeks ?
I'm lucky to have my hubby at home but he's 73 ,fairly fit and well, but we are worried what to do for the best. Thanks

If you need to self isolate for 12 weeks you will very shortly get a letter or text message from the NHS telling you to do so. If you don’t get that then you only need to distance yourself (usually 2m) from others when you go out.

Your conditions don’t make you any more likely to get seriously ill with coronavirus, but I note you take morphine which is a potent cough suppressant. I would discuss the matter with your GP if you can with a phone consultation.

All surgeries my in area, all surgeries are doing phone consultations, so give your surgery a call for one.
