If you go onto their website there is a health questionnaire which assesses suitability for the program. I suspect it may not be suitable if you are taking insulin as it looks as if it is a low carb program. It mentions Type 2 but not Type 1.

I doubt they will accept Type 1s or even Type 2s on insulin because it will be beyond their remit. Have you considered getting a referral to a diabetes dietician? They should be able to help support you with a weight loss plan. Are you under the hospital clinic or your GP practice for your diabetes management? Either should be able to refer you to a specialist diabetes dietician, but the clinic may have one within the unit, so should make a referral easier.

Are you on MDI (Multiple Daily Injections) and if so, which insulin (s) or an insulin pump?
Do you carb count?
Any diet is going to involve you adjusting your doses to match your reduced food intake and reduced weight, so it is important that you know what you are doing with your insulin doses and have that flexibility.
I appreciate that most Type 1s will be on MDI but I am guessing that there will be some who are still using fixed doses or even a mixed insulin.
Also, do you have Libre or other CGM (Constant Glucose Monitor) to help you keep a close eye on your levels as you reduce food intake?

Never heard of it but be wary, you could try doing losing weight yourself by cutting back on what you eat, so in essence cut back on calories to kick start weight loss.

They advertise it as being good for type 1 so I’d expect to be eligible!
